MEXICO | Puebla | 300 MW | Under Construction

Alten Energías Renovables is developing a 300 MWp photovoltaic plant in the state of Puebla (Mexico), with investment of around US$220 million.

The plant will be financed by Alten Energías Renovables’ own funds (50%) and by the Japanese company Sojitz Corporation (50%), with co-financing from a Mexican development bank, a multilateral institution and a retail bank.

Sale of the energy and the clean energy certificates generated will be through bilateral PPAs and merchant sales.

The installation will generate around 700 GWh/year of clean energy, equivalent to the approximate electricity supply for a town of 350,000 people, avoiding 315,000 tonnes of carbon emissions every year.

The project is managed by Alten Energías Renovables.
